Why did you choose Taubman College as the right program for you?
I chose Taubman College for the intellectual and creative opportunities that it provides within the school.
What is special or excites you about the Taubman community?
I have highly disciplined peers who keep the standards high and motivate me to always do better.
If applicable, tell us about studio culture – what is inspiring or innovative or unique?
Sharing such a large, open workspace with all the students is truly one of the best and most unique parts of going to school here. It’s extremely effective at sparking creativity, forming social bonds, and encouraging work productivity. You can always find someone to ask for help or take a break with after class hours.
Describe your experience with faculty and professional staff during your time at Taubman?
Studio culture allows for more personal, one-on-one interactions both with students and with the faculty members. These allow students to get more in-depth advice from their instructors.
What benefits have you experienced being part of the University of Michigan?
Getting the true “University experience.” A large, beautiful campus in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, plenty of study spots, clubs, and activities.
What do you like most about being part of the Ann Arbor community?
I will always feel grateful for having the opportunity to be a part of it.
What advice would you give prospective students as they consider Taubman College?
I think it’s the best option for Abstract Architecture in the State. If you’re leaning towards the artsy side of Architecture, this school is a good fit.
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduating I will start working immediately at an Architecture, Urban Planning, and Civil Engineering firm where I’ve previously been an intern.
