Why did you choose Taubman College as the right program for you?
I chose Taubman because of the types of projects they described on a tour. I thought the combination of formal studies and abstract concepts was very intriguing.

What is special or excites you about the Taubman community?
The people at Taubman are very special. My peers maintain a level of engagement and enthusiasm that make classes productive and fun. The teachers are dedicated and personable.

If applicable, tell us about studio culture – what is inspiring or innovative or unique?
It is unique to have such a small group of peers interacting so frequently. It’s really motivating to be surrounded by people going through the same thing as you. Studio culture is what you make of it l, and I’m grateful that my studios have allowed the growth of so many strong friendships.

Describe your experience with faculty and professional staff during your time at Taubman?
It is a unique experience to have a professor interact with you on a personal level almost every day. I have multiple teachers that function not just as instructors, but as mentors in the most intimate sense. I’m surprised to have bonded so quickly and closely with the faculty at Taubman, but it is easy when so many people are passionate about what they do.

How has Taubman’s career and professional development support prepared you for a successful career in your chosen field?
They provide any resource you might need, and there is always a person to ask for help. The College Career Network is very helpful as well.

What advice would you give prospective students as they consider Taubman College?
For students considering Taubman, I’d advise you to consider what type of student you are and what type of student you want to be. This program allows you quite a lot of control over your education, and it’s up to you as a student to use that opportunity as best as you can. The type of education that you want and push for is the type of education you’ll get.

What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to go to grad school to get my master’s and eventually be a licensed, working architect.
