Why did you choose Taubman College as the right program for you?
The reason I chose Taubman was the amazing environment I am surrounded by and the rigorous academics that will challenge me to be a better person.

What is special or excites you about the Taubman community?
The like-minded people who are also heavily interested in architecture and the ability to bounce ideas off one another.

If applicable, tell us about studio culture – what is inspiring or innovative or unique?
For me studio culture is a very rigorous place with many deadlines, but it was also a place where I grew connections with my peers. The late-night hours in studio while we built our models really helped shape who we are today.

Describe your experience with faculty and professional staff during your time at Taubman?
The faculty and staff at Taubman are amazing. They set clear expectations that helped create an environment that promotes education while also promoting a healthy relationship with the students.

How has Taubman’s career and professional development support prepared you for a successful career?
I haven’t had much personal experience with development support yet, but I’m sure that once I’m ready for their help, I will be able to get the resources I need.

What benefits have you experienced being part of the University of Michigan?
I believe being part of the University of Michigan has helped create an environment that encourages you to participate in events and do your best, creating a healthy balance between academics and student life.

What do you like most about being part of the Ann Arbor community?
I believe Ann Arbor creates a safe place for students to socialize and gather without constantly worrying about threats.

What advice would you give prospective students as they consider Taubman College?
I would encourage you to learn Rhino commands and take classes that use Illustrator so that you have some background knowledge, while also considering the amount of work and effort it will take to complete the course.

What are your plans after graduation?
I hope to open my own firm where I will be able to create a remarkable change in my clients’ lives. While continuing to learn different types of architecture from my employees and interns.

Additional advice or thoughts you’d like to share with prospective students?
I would make sure you know what you are stepping into. It is a very difficult school that will teach you everything you need to know, but you have to be willing to put in the effort that it takes to succeed.
