Modular Curriculum
Customize Your Studies

Taubman College offers incoming Bachelor of Science in Architecture students a unique modular curriculum that provides a valuable liberal arts foundation and the opportunity for students to customize their studies.

During the first two years, choose six of nine project-based modules in any sequence based on your interests rather than a pre-set sequence. Each module is taught over seven weeks (half-semester). You will be in a new cohort for each module, learning with students with varying experience levels to encourage peer-to-peer learning, dialogue, and mentorship.

During the first two years, choose six of nine project-based modules in any sequence, which allows you to craft your studies based on your interests rather than a pre-set sequence. Each module is taught over seven weeks (half-semester). Since your sequencing will differ from your peers, you will be in a new cohort for each module, learning with students with varying experience levels to encourage peer-to-peer learning, dialogue, and mentorship.

In your fourth year, choose your path to complete your B.S. degree – one emphasizing a professional direction, which can shorten the duration of your Master of Architecture education, and one emphasizing research or interdisciplinary thinking. These two tracks are not mutually exclusive, as you may opt to take some combination of the two.
