Master of Urban and Regional Planning
Early Admission

Current undergraduate UM students with at least a 3.25 GPA will be eligible to apply for Early Admission into the Master of Urban & Regional Planning (MURP) provided they meet the criteria below. Applying Early Admission provides students with the ability to plan their future with more time to seek out external financial opportunities to help pay for their graduate degree.

Applicants eligible for this agreement must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a U-M senior making satisfactory academic progress
  • Have earned at least a 3.25 GPA average through junior year
  • Proof of eligible major/minor declared or completed (as noted on the U-M transcript)
    • See chart below
  • Complete an application for admission for the Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) by November 17.
  • Must enroll in MURP in the same year as graduation year of U-M undergraduate degree

Admission into MURP is not guaranteed. Students applying for CUGS are not eligible for Early Admission into MURP.
