Zimmerman opens co-curated exhibition at the Tate; speaks about new book ‘Photographic Architecture in the Twentieth Century’

Claire Zimmerman, Associate Professor of History of Art and the Coordinator of Doctoral Studies in Architecture, was recently featured in a number of different major events over the past two months. On October 5th Zimmerman moderated UMMA’s “Three Michigan Architects”, lectured on “Albert Kahn’s Metropolitan Architecture” at the Urban History Association conference at the University of Pennsylvania on the 10th, and spoke at the Bentley Library on the 30th about the Albert Kahn Archive. This month Zimmerman took part in the Media & Modernity series at Princeton University on November 4th to speak about her new book, Photographic Architecture in the Twentieth Century. She is also scheduled to open her co-curated exhibition, New Brutalist Image 1949-1955 at the Tate Britain on the 24th.
