Kinder Presents “DIY Detroit” at Author’s Forum

Assistant Professor of Urban Planning Kimberley Kinder will be participating in the Author’s Forum on November 9th, 2016. During the forum she’ll read from her new book “DIY Detroit: Making Do in a City Without Services” which describes the phenomenon of Detroit residents “domesticating” public services in a city after years of disinvestment and decline. Following the reading will be Q&A and a conversation with Rebecca J. Kinney, Assistant Professor at Bowling Green State University and author of "Beautiful Wasteland: The Rise of Detroit as America’s Post-Industrial Frontier.”

The event starts at 5:30pm at the Hatcher Graduate Library, and you can read more about it here: https://lsa.umich.edu/sid/events-news/all-events.detail.html/32953-4636635.html
