Rule and Morcillo Pallarés Present Research Through Making Project at Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos Murcia

On June 13th, 2017 assistant professor of practice Jonathan Rule and assistant professor Ana Morcillo Pallarés will present their 2016 Research Through Making Project “Panots and Mosaics: The Plasticity of Hydraulic Cement Through Making” at the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos Murcia (COAMU). The project, initiated by a 2016 Research Through Making Grant, explores techniques of making panots, embossed shapes, and mosaics, inlaid geometric patterns. Rule and Morcillo Pallarés investigate ways these cement tiles could be created with new materials and techniques changing the relationship between to the tiles form and structure.
