Due to extreme temperatures and wind chill, the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus has issued an emergency reduction in operations beginning tonight at 12AM Wednesday, Jan. 30 and ending 7AM Friday, Feb. 1. U-M Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, reopening on Friday morning.
All classroom and laboratory instruction, as well as non-critical services and operations, are suspended at this time. All lectures and events at the college or affiliated will be postponed or rescheduled; details will be communicated at a later date.
The University officials will continue to monitor the weather conditions and make adjustments if needed.
