Accra Archive

This project has digitized a collection of architectural and administrative archival records created from as early as 1894 in what was then known as The Gold Coast. These are among the earliest collections of bureaucratic documents still available in the country, and they pre-date the formation of Ghana as an independent nation-state.

The digitization has been funded by a grant from the Endangered Archives Programme, supported by Arcadia and administered by the British Library.
