A Study in Surface Layering

These projects explore the technique of layering to create new experiences and texture often employed by the architect Gio Ponti. The tray design “Veriety of the Senses”  usesContrasting materials, such as wood and slate, create smoothness and roughness, with unexpected shadows cast by the uneven surfaces and asymmetrical curves.
