Center for Diminishing Returns

Alex Olson
Stratton Coffman
The false promise of unlimited returns is upheld by the casual brutality of Amazon’s practices, where boxes and the bodies that handle them are treated as disposable. The Center for Diminishing Returns reconfigures the warehouse from a closed black box into an open infrastructure of alternative unboxing, where things are reused through shifts in their holding conditions. By diminishing the immediate capital value of returned goods, the center becomes a site for imagining new forms of collective fulfillment.
