How do choices in interaction design affect the social outcomes of neighbors sharing power in microgrids? In this research project, we designed multiple interaction‑design prototypes that represent different ways residents could share energy with one another in a microgrid. We conducted UX research using a range of generative and exploratory methods, and we developed personas and a user‑journey map based on the collected information. Through iterative user testing, we documented how each design change influenced behavior and overall social outcomes. In comprehension testing, we recorded how users perceived the various design choices.
