In this project, I designed a gymnastics fieldhouse for women and underage gymnasts, inspired by a visit to the Michigan Women’s Gymnastics team. Positioned facing the Huron River, the fieldhouse offers scenic views for athletes and visitors. Open areas rotate to form angled walls, serving as entrances. Elevation changes enhance the experience of the natural riverside landscape. A ring ramp encircles the practice area, allowing visitors to watch gymnasts while moving through the space. The design separates private and public functions, shaping activities to meet the needs of those entering the building.
