Despite being a stationary space, movement is at the center of the movie theater. Users sit and are delighted by the images on the screen and the speakers’ sounds, entering a world beyond. This project takes the thrill from the movie “Up” and highlights movement’s role in museums and theaters. Objects from the movie “Up” shape the theater, notably the cone of shame, balloons, and chairs from the main characters, Carl and Ellie.
