Maldives is disappearing as the sea level rises while Iceland meets the problem of iceberg melting. As the Maldives embassy in Iceland, it will not only serve as a diplomatic building but also be a monument that calls for more attention to climate change. The embassy aims at creating new methods for people to experience the sea from seeing, hearing, and touching. The building locates on the seashore in Reykjavík, part of the building is under the sea, which will appear or vanish from people's sight as the tide changes. Some rooms are submerged and only can be used after hundreds of years when the sea level declines. The sea could be seen in the interior space by texture and shadow reflected by light.
