Paul Tierman is a Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Michigan. He teaches Basic Drawing and Design Fundamentals in the undergraduate curriculum. Paul received a Master's Degree of Architecture from the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Previously he obtained a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts also from the University of Michigan where he focused in drawing and sculpture. Paul is a founding member of the sustainable design group ReFab. The interdisciplinary group received a G.R.O.C.S. (Grant Opportunities Collaborative Spaces) award to explore the repurposing of retired materials with the aid of digital design tools. Paul was a contributing member of TAT 2010 (Thinking About 'Things'), an international Material Culture conference held at the University of Michigan's Rackham auditorium during May of 2010.
