Workshopping Michigan Climate Futures February 7 AT 9:00 AM
Fri 7

A. Alfred Taubman Wing Commons

The mandate to make systemic change across many sectors to respond to climate change is sparking intense dialog and change within the fields of architecture, urban technology, urban planning, and urban design. The urgent need for mitigation and adaptation is challenging conventional modes of disciplinary practice, as well as highlighting the need for more effective multidisciplinary collaboration. Building on the momentum from Taubman College’s Climate Futures Symposium, this event will bring together students, faculty, and invited guests from various disciplinary backgrounds to consider these questions in the context of the state of Michigan. Through a fast-paced exchange of ideas and work, and in dialog with faculty and invited guests, we’ll workshop modes of multidisciplinary practice and engaged learning to meet the moment for our state.
