Professor Murray Wins Senior Fulbright Specialist Award

Martin Murray, Professor of Urban and Regional Planning and Adjunct Professor, Department of Afro-American and African Studies, was awarded a Senior Fulbright Specialist Award to work in Dortmund, Germany from May 1 – June 13, 2017. His project titled “Dortmund, Arrival City” brings together students and faculty at TU Dortmund to provide a better understanding of the recent refugee community that has arrived in the city and how they are integrated into the city. The project is made up of a seminar and field study component where students will work with the primarily Syrian refugees to investigate their housing, social support system, and German language instruction.
