Concrete Sequence

Ryan Karczewski
Charlie O'Geen
This project investigates the dichotomy between the act of carving out of a large concrete element, and the act of forming a larger structure out of thinner and assembled concrete members. Further, it explores how these structural conditions aid in the manipulation of light and create specific spatial conditions inherent to a cinema. It also explores more physically, the articulation of concrete as a material itself, and how its articulation may inform program and aid in the experiential and acoustic conditions of the specific spaces.
