Appealing to a substantial audience is necessary to justify the reintroduction of bathhouses in the US. This campus unites recreational facilities and bathing practices in efforts to revitalize the Charles River riverfront. Toeing the line between bathhouse and athletic center, this campus provides spaces to eat, exercise, wash, swim, and compete in sporting events. The overlapping locker, changing, and shower stations of the two programs are used to link the human experience to the structure by detaching the pipe from the wall, mobilizing furniture, and the customizing spaces using curtains.
