Extension of Application Deadline

The deadline for applications to pursue the M.Sc. degree, offered by the Architecture Doctoral Program, has been extended to Friday 13 February 2009.

All prospective applicants are invited to attend an information session about the M.Sc. degree, dual MSc/MArch degree, and application requirements Thursday January 15 2009, 6:30-7pm, in 2108 AAB.

The MSc degree is offered in two forms:

1) as the traditional research-based M.Sc. degree, where the student pursues his/her studies within one of three areas: Building Technology, Design Studies, or History/Theory.

2) as the recently created design-research based M.Sc. degree, where the student draws from the range of resources offered within the Doctoral Program.

The M.Sc. may be pursued as a DUAL DEGREE with the M.Arch.:

1) For the traditional research M.Sc., students may apply any time after they enter the M.Arch. program. Upon acceptance to M.Sc. studies, they can pursue the two degrees more or less simultaneously or pursue the M.Sc. immediately upon graduating with the M.Arch. Interested students should work with advisors to ensure that course selections are compatible with both degree requirements.

2) For the design M.Sc., students must apply during their final year of M.Arch. degree and must complete the M.Arch. before beginning the M.Sc.
