Washtenaw County online news source Concentrate wrote a story about an award-winning tower built by Taubman College Architecture Lecturer Wes McGee and Brandon Clifford. The 45-foot structure named Periscope won the 10UP! National Architecture Competition recently held in Atlanta, Georgia. The duo, who are founders of Matter Design Studio, built the structure almost completely from recyclable expanded polystyrene that was cut into blocks using the Digital Fabrication Lab’s robotic hotwire cutting system.
