Architecture senior Eric Craig received honorable mention for his proposed Flint, Mich.-Genesee Towers design in a Genesse Towers design competition and the work will be shared and recognized at a AIA-Flint unveiling event on April 8, 2011. Craig participated in Lecturer Catie Newell’s architecture studio this semester that is studying abandoned buildings and speculating on spatial material repurposing.

The competition invited international submissions and was judged competitively.

To commemorate AIA’s National Architecture Week April 11-15, 2011, entries will be displayed at the Greater Flint Arts Council Building, 816 South Saginaw Street in downtown Flint. For more information: greaterflintartscouncil.org.
