As part of the Michigan Real Estate Club (MREC), students from Taubman College and the Ross School of Business visited Chicago to meet with firms and learn about the real estate industry. - met with Sam Zell, Chairman of Equity Group Investments;
- toured the current Chicago river projects with Hines, an international real estate firm;
- received a market presentation on Chicago at brokerage shop HFF – one of the largest and most successful commercial real estate capital intermediaries in the country;
- attended a private equity strategy talk with Walton Street Capital Partners;
- hosted an hour-long event for UM alumni working in real estate in the Chicago area, and;
- toured development in Chicago’s business loop district.
