Kelbaugh Lectures at Clemson Design Center

On October 18th, Professor of Architecture and former Dean of Taubman College, Douglas Kelbaugh, will present his lecture “Urban Cool: Paradoxes of Heat, Health and Habitat in the Anthropocene” at the Clemson Design Center in Charleston, South Carolina. The lecture—also the tentative title of his next MIT Press published book—covers role of urbanism in the battle against climate change. Kelbaugh shows how cities are uniquely positioned to address problems like urban heat islands and over-population to promote “healthier, happier, culturally richer, and more creative and productive lifestyles.”
