Taubman College Assistant Professor of Architecture Tsz Yan Ng is among the Architectural League’s 2022 Emerging Voices honorees for her design firm, Tsz Yan Ng Design.
The Emerging Voices lecture series provides an opportunity for honorees to present their distinctive work to the greater design community. Ng’s presentation will take place online on March 17, 2022. It is free and open to all, but advance registration is required.
Sponsored for more than 30 years by the Architectural League of New York, Emerging Voices is an annual invited competition for North American firms and individuals with distinct design voices and significant accomplishments within design and academia. Honorees are recognized for their potential to influence the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design.
Tsz Yan Ng Design’s work advances “innovations that are not only more in tune with contemporary building processes, but are also aspirational in integrating socially, ethically, and environmentally driven imperatives,” in the words of its founder and principal, Ng. Focusing on experimentations with concrete and the intersections of clothing manufacturing and architecture, the practice investigates many facets and forms of labor in the R&D field. The research and creative practice is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
