Professor Peter von Buelow delivered a paper to the 2008 ACADIA conference (Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture) October 17, 2008 in Minneapolis, MN. The title was “Breeding Topology: special considerations for generative topology exploration using evolutionary computation” and covered some of von Buelow’s recent research efforts in the area. The theme for the conference was Silicon + Skin: Biological Processes and Computation. The proceedings can be found under ISBN: 978-0-9789463-2-6.
Students worked with Professor von Buelow on the form exploration project using evolutionary computation. Shown in the picture above are architecture students Christopher Beach, Danielle Tillman, and Christina Anderson.
