Assistant Professor Ahlquist Elected to ACADIA Board of Directors; Lecturer McGee Named as Alternate
Assistant Professor Sean Ahlquist recently won election to the ACADIA Board of Directors. Lecturer Wes McGee was voted as an alternate to the Board.
The Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture (ACADIA) is an international network of digital design researchers and professionals. ACADIA facilitate critical investigations into the role of computation in architecture, planning, and building science, encouraging innovation in design creativity, sustainability, and education.
Ahlquist is part of the Computational Media and Interactive Systems cluster at Taubman College which connects Architecture with the fields of Material Science, Computer Science, Art & Design and Music. His particular research thread is centered on the topic of material computation, in developing means by which complex material behaviors can be instrumentalized to formulate integrated and variable spatial capacities.
