Ellie Abrons is a designer and educator, currently living in Ann Arbor, MI. She is an Assistant Professor in architecture at the Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning, where she was the A. Alfred Taubman Fellow in 2009—2010. Her design practice, EADÕ, engages novel material manipulations and advanced digital modeling and fabrication techniques to induce interaction, participation, and play in architecture. EADÕ works across scales and mediums, often in collaborative contexts. In 2012, Ellie was invited to participate in the 13th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale. This year she will return to the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, Germany to complete a residency fellowship and present work in the group exhibition titled “Architecture &…”

Ellie received her M.Arch from the University of California Los Angeles where she graduated with distinction and received the AIA Certificate of Merit. She received her B.A. in art history and gender studies from New York University and has a certificate in graphic and digital design from Parsons School of Design. She has worked in numerous offices in Los Angeles and Boston such as servo, GregLynnFORM, and Office dA.
